Hi there,

I'm thinking of setting up a headless server on the IBM X345 series server.

Just wondering will there be any problem with the server if I manually reboot or reboot through terminal service without connecting the monitor, keyboard and mouse. Will the server post a error saying "keyboard missing" etc error message ?

Any advise will be useful.

Thanks

SP

If correctly configured in CMOS, no errors will be present. However, shutting down from a Terminal session is not the best choice. With a remote Supervisor Adapter installed, you can select to perform the shutdown/reboot from the web interface for the RSA card.
