HEader&trailer record validation

HI,

My src file is flat file with HDR and TRL records, I have to peform Header and Trailer record validations , I knew they can be achieved in Unix, but im looking at an informatica solution, where in i have to read the total records and validate number of records in detail with total record count in trailer if it matches continue processing else fail it , has anybody done this before please provide me vth ur valuable inputs.

Just a thought:

1. Load the trailer record to a seperate table (just load the record count)
2. Load the flatfile to an intermediate table.
3. Create database view that holds record count (something like : Select count(*) from intermediate where.....)
4. Create definite mapping and perform lookup on the table&view and use logic to load or not to target..
