I'm new at this, so bear with me. Is there a way you can eliminate the headers and stuff that is automatically generated when you create a new web page in Visual Studio 2010? Thanks in Advance.

When you choose to create a new website, select ASP.NET Empty Web Site, instead of ASP.NET Web Site.

You have to go into the designer view(source) and delete the blocks that you don't want.

Have you ever edited HTML code?
