Guys,

I think if you are using IE6.0 on windows 2000, you have got
a chance when web-surfing that IE totally, disappears suddenly.

I know this is resolved in Windows XP, but seems like a known issue in Windows 2000.

I tried to degrade IE6.0 to, IE5.5, IE5.0, but couldn't.
I think because my windows 2000 is SP3.
Any of you guys know how to fix this annoying problem?

Right click on My Computer and choose manage and then look into the Event Viewer logs for Applications...look for RED...and double click the Event and examine the error message....then post it back...
For my own 2 cents, it's not an OS issue, rather than an IE issue...

gargouille,

there was no any event seemed related with this action.
i just did it now, and at the time, no event....

found the solution ;
run regsvr32 iepeers.dll

in case it doesn't work, have a new iepeers.dll and paste under C:\winnt\system32.

and rerun the command.

A heartfelt thanks for being considerate enough to post back and tell us...especially since we didn't provide the fix!
