SCCS 5.0 and SWCP 4.0 installed. Can't get HDX to work against SCCS from SWCP. Any idea?

Thanks!

This is the error that I receive.

Hi,

I had the problem that you describe with SWCP 4.0 and SU04/DP10/DP11/DP12 and SCCS 4.2 SU11S (workaround describe after).
I have now SWCP 4.0 SU06 connect to SCCS 5.0 SU05S/501/502 and the HDX part is working but the HDX is not a very stable service on SCCS.
E.g. Nortel just provide now a new SCCS 5.0 patch, the 504 and contains the Q01105877-01 about a Corba problem. It exists a "lot" of patch on SCCS and SWCP about this HDX connection.

Then I recommand to you to install the last patches on SWCP 4.0 (SU07) and on SCCS 5.0 SU05S/501/502/503/504.

The workaround in my case was :
1. Check if service HDX in SWCP is up / even it is up try to stop-start
2. Check in Dashboard if an event about HDX (ex : 8018 or 8075 or 8109)3. Check in Win2000 Application Event more details
4. Ping SCCS from SWCP
5. Check HDXClient.txt
6. If problem like “Provider ID registration problem” and a stop-start of HDX on SWCP is not enough or other problem
7. stop HDX service on SWCP server and on SCCS server : stop TFA service and stop TFA Bridge Service / start TFA service and start TFA Bridge Service / start HDX service on SWCP
8. check in HDXClient.txt if ok
9. if service on SWCP doensn’t come up and in HDXCleint.txt is not ok with the registration of the Provider Id : we need to reboot the SCCS server !

Can you tell me what your doing with the HDX in SWCP 4.0. I have bothe SWCP 4.0 and SCCS 5.0 and just wondering what type of HDX you are doing. I use it extensively on SCCS but never saw a reason on SWCP.
Thanks
