HDU7 Maximum hard disk size?

Does anyone know what the maximum size hard disk can be used on a HDU7?

When we use anything 10GB or greater the maximum reported capacity by scinfo is approx 8GB.

When we try and create a 64MB partition using mkfs /DEV/SC31 FF00 1000 400, it appears to create a 64kB partition instead!

Is there a workaround that can be used with larger drives?

we use 40GB WD scorpio drives without any problem.
FICRI works correctly on those drives
