I have installed on my PC two 15 GB HDD (Fat32), - C and D.
The second HDD (D) is partitioned into two “logical” disks (D and E).

By using the software MacOpener 3.0, I formatted the “logical” drive E, as a Mac Disk in Windows PC.
On conformity with the MacOpener 3.0 web description “…Chose “MacFormat…and simply select the format type you
prefer –that’s it! The disk
will then be formatted as Macintosh)…”.

The problem I have is that NO longer I can see the volume name of partition D. When I switch to partition D (for PC), I
don’t get the
“drives” level I can’t open the driver on Explorer.

a) What can I do to eliminate the MacFormat from the drive E?
b) How can I revert the MacFormat partition, back to PC format?
c) What can I do to see and open the volume drive D?

Now, I can see only an empty MacFormat partition (E). The PC portion (D) no longer is visible.

Please help us sooner possible by recovering back to the PC format.
Disparately yours, Peter

May be a long involved process but you won't know until the end.
Boot to DOS, with a floppy if you have it.
fdisk, choose drive 1, delete partitions, 1 primary, 1 non-dos
create partition, choose the sizes you want, reboot
format the drive which will be D:

If problems with any of this come back with any error messages or details. This may require the zap program (zero fill) to overwrite boot sector / partition table.

Dear Ed Fair
Thank you very much for your kind answer to my disparate e-mail.

I want to add to my yesterday e-mail that the second HDD (D) is the secondary DHH, (without fill system) and partitioned into two "logical" disks (D and E).

The partition "D" I utilized to save copies of may work (I am graphic artist and I am doing layout for a magazine): Unfortunately, on this "D" I have an extremely important already layout whit out any copy in "C" .…and disparately I need back the four week work.

The partition "E", that with the MacOpener story, I don't care about.
…………………………………………………………………………………
No longer the MacOpener program exist on my PC.
The BIOS indicate that my secondary DHH exists, but in the explorer doesn't show any type.
…………………………………………………………………………………..
Please, what can I do to find the secondary DHH, specially the layout work I have.

The same desperately,

Peter

What ed is trying to say is that by using 'FDISK' you can in fact delete the mac partition without hurting the rest of your data on C: and D:. You have to choose the 'delete NON-DOS partition'...this will target any partition (this being E: on your PC) that is not DOS and it will delete it. You can then 're-partition' E: as a windows (Fat or Fat32) partition...
