HDD Serial Number aquisition

I am in desperate need of some code or something that will get the serial number (not the volume number) of a hard drive. We have found some code that retrieves the serial number of ide, but not skuzzy... can you please help? any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I wish I knew that. Do you know of a utility that will change the VOLUME SERIAL NUMBER?

stratagydk, there used to be some DOS shareware that could change the serial number on floppies but that was several years ago. Can't remember if it would do it on hard drives.
