Hi All

I have a Compaq Proliant ML370 and I recently purchase 6 refurbished 18gb drives. All drives were detected but one and the fault light was on on the caddy. I tried swapping caddy's and slots but it didn't make a difference.
I concluded that the drive was faulty and made do with the other five drives. (2 on RAID1 for OS, the other 3 on RAID5 for Data)

I now have another refurbised 18gb drive and fitted it to the ID5 slot thinking to add it as either a online spare or to the existing RAID5, but it is also not being detected! I'm thinking that this can't be coincidence that both drives are faulty as the supplier has tested the drive and found no errors.

Can anybody please suggest what else might be causing the problem.

Thanks
