I bought a new case and it came with a different connector for the power and hdd LED's and all that other junk, i pluged everything in and it worked except for the swich that turns it on. So i looked inside and there was a problem. The power light is on pins 1 and 3 and the connector connected to 1 and 5 with a blank in the middle, and the swich connected to 5 and 7 so i moved it over so the swich would go on 5 and 7 but now the power LED is only connected to 3 and the other blank connector is on 1 and the other side of the sonnector is hanging off the edge, not connected, so i cut the wire and puched in into the middle blank slot so it would connect to pins 1 and 3, turned it on and it didnt work, also the HDD LED is on pins 2 and 4 and its not working either, i have swiched it backl and forth and still no luck. ANY help on the would be appreciated.

Thanks

Matt

1 & 3 for the power LED. 4 & 5 for a keylock switch.
Did you get a manual with your M/B? That is the definitive answer.
You may need to take the connector off the old box and splice it into the new box. Ed Fair

Any advice I give is my best judgement based on my interpretation of the facts you supply. Help increase my knowledge by providing some feedback, good or bad, on any advice I have given.

Observe the polarity on the pins!
Some LED's only work one way around and can be damaged if connected the wrong way but not usually. Martin Just trying to help, sometimes falling short, I am only human after all.
