Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me out..
It seems to me as though the HD needs to be replaced but wanted a 2nd opinion beforehand...

I've had the drive for just under 3 years, and Windows has been crashing for no reason from time to time since a few months back... (computer running a single drive only)

But since last week, the drive's been having trouble getting recognized at all by the bios... it's pretty much been random... but once it does get recognized, Windows is bound to either not boot up at all/reboot/crash randomly... i've tried reinstalling Windows just in case, but did not help.

I thought that maybe it's a motherboard/connection problem, but found that putting in another drive caused no problems at all...

I'm hesitant to get a new drive at this point because the drive is not Completely dead, but seems to be on the verge of it... is it just something waiting to happen soon?

thanks! :)

You better back it up while you still can if it's got anything you want to save.
