HD Cloning

I have a small PC repair business. I would like to create a separate partition on the same hard drive to create an image of my clients main parition that can used to restore the main partition. Can this me done with Norton Ghost 3 and if not which software do you recommend? I would also like to back-up the image to a USB hard drive. Thanks.
