I formatted the CF, but with the same result. I even changed the CF, same result. The CF capacity is 2G.
Backup type is HD -> MO

Please advise.

From what I've been told, not all 2G cards format out to 2G on the 4000. I'm not sure I can wrap my head around that, but I will acknowledge the skeptical possibility of it.

You might want to try a different brand of card just for giggles. I had a tech tell me a brand to try once and I was never able to find it, and I don't remember what it was anymore. I just use whatever's cheap at Amazon.

Thanks for suggestion, donb01. i''ll try a different CF with higher capacity, may be 4G.

From what I am told, if you buy the larger sized cards the system will still only format them to 2G - so don't get too crazy with how much you spend!
