Hi all,

I don'y find a way to configure correctly fcs in AIX to negociate directly in point to point.
the switch used to connect with the AIX doesn't support L-Port (DCX brocade) and the intialization sequence of the HBA always try to negociate in loop before trying in pt 2 pt.

The result is errors on switch or sometimes problems to finish their synchronization to the switch with a G-Port status (without registration in nameserver of the fabric).

I tryed to change the init flag to pt2pt (i know that IBM don't suuport this) on fcs but the result is the same on the portlogdump of the switch ... an loop initialisation in first step. With different HBA and i've got the same result with FC1910,FC5716 and FC5735; it's seems to be independent of hardware.

portlogdump of an HBA connected on port 9/10 (area 106) of a DCX:
18:04:27.172 SPEE sn 106 NC 00000002,00000000,00000000
18:04:27.172 LOOP loopscn 106 LIP 8002
18:04:27.221 LOOP loopscn 106 TMO 4040001
18:04:27.221 LOOP loopscn 106 LIP 801e
18:04:27.271 LOOP loopscn 106 TMO 4040001
18:04:27.271 LOOP loopscn 106 LIP 801e
=> flag init_link = useless

Configuring g-port lock on the switch is just a partial palliative but not the solution...

Hope someone has a solution ;o)
Thank you for your help.
