Good day,

For some reason I can not add my SSAS solutions with all its Dimensions etc in Visual Source Safe.

Can anyone tell me how this should be done or how do other people do it ?

Thanks

I works fine for me. I've had both VS 2005 and 2008 SSAS solutions in Source Safe. I just used the file menu and 'add project to source safe' if memory recalls correctly.

Hi RiverGuy,

Thanks for this. I still can't manage to do this so, I think it must be some other issue on my side.

Tell me something. What is the correct practice. Should one only add the solution or would it be best to add all the dim's, datasource etc .. ?

I'm not sure what the best practice is since we don't have a strict set of rules for it here. But in most Visual Studio .Net setups I have seen, if you choose to add the solution to source safe, it adds all of the code files contained within the solution to source safe. The menu might actually say "Add Project to Source Control" even if it adds the entire solution.

Thanks RiverGuy !
