I'm relatively new to this so please bear with me.

Here's the problem that I've been facing for the past 3-4 weeks. The site that I have been hired to maintain requires a weekly update on Sun and then two more updates during the week: one on Mon night and another on Wed night. I also archive the previous weeks articles into a archive folder. A link to the archive will then be created when I begin the next weeks articles.

It seems that during the week the search results will function as they should, but after I do an update (and also make a copy into the archive folder), the search functions are no longer functioning. I will then have to go the hosting service and have them reinstall the fp extensions resulting with me having to republish the whole site. Currently the search page doesn't work and the hosting site is scheduled to reapply the extensions this Sat. (8 Nov,03)

This never seemed to be a problem from Mar of 2003 up to Sept 2003 but started giving me problems in Oct. I cannot think of anything that I might have done out of the ordinary. I initially republish (on Sun) 8 pages and I don't even touch the search page. Again, it had worked previously. The template is a standard template that came with Frontpage. I am using Office XP with Frontpage 2002. The website is:
Is there some limitations concerning archives that I have overlooked? I do not FTP the files, only publish. And I only publish changed pages. Is this a hosting problem or a user (me) problem? I have already gone the route of Tools/Recalulate hyperlinks and that hasn't worked either. I searched this site and found a similar problem and the recommendation was to "Check out the <index> <\index> command" - answered by gcole (Programmer), but I don't know what he's referring to (I'd be considered an Advanced Beginner-Intermediate in understanding FP)

Any help would sure be appreciated!!

Thanks in advance.

My apologize to "islanddesktop" for mistakening posting this as a reply to his question
