I've got a windows 2003 server that I need to create a network drive on to a samba server. when I try to browse the samba server from the server 2003 it keeps saying not authorized. I've tried creating a login name and password for the server 2003 computer but its not working.

Definetly appreciate any and all help.

Main problem in 2003 recent service packs is security model.
turn off digitally encript or sign secure channel data in the security options of active directory users and computers -> domain controllers -> group policy
you may find up to four of these type of entries.

Failing that, you have a valid user on the samba box.
try creating a guest-only share, to see if you can connect.
