Hey all, I have been working on IP office for about 6 years but I am at a bit of a standstill on this issue (as I have not dealt with it before) I will try and include as much info as I can to see if any of you may have run into this issue.

I recently installed a new (IP Ofice V2A system Running 11.1.3.1) at a brand-new Hotel, everything is working great thus far except at the last minute the hotel decided that they would go with the Fossi-backed PMS system.

If any of you have run into this system before you know it's an older one that only takes SMDR over Serial. so the hotel staff that are installing the PMS system left me a connection that is an RS232.

I am under the understanding that the only way IP Office passes SMDR is over IP so I obtained a Serial to IP converter
I gave it an IP address of 192.168.1.254, and I can ping this from system status on LAN1.

so I have in the settings of the SMDR in manager set to 192.168.1.254 (the IP of the IP to Serial device) TCP Port 5001 (this port was requested by the installer of the PMS system)

On the Converter side, i have the settings as follows

Telnet Server/Client - Server/Client/Disable This is set to = Disable
Reverse Telnet = Off
Port Number = 5001
Control Protocol Port = 6000
Remote Server IP Address = 192.168.1.10 (this is the IP to the LAN on the IP Office)
Client mode inactive timeout = 20sec
Server mode protect timeout = 60 sec

It looks like on the device I have no activity on the Sereal side

i will attach pictures of the UART side.

Thanks so much to stoping by to read my Novel. Cheers Everyone :)

Have you tried to setup a temporary syslog server with the same IP and port settings just to check if the iP Office sends records correctly? If the IPO does not receive he acknowledge from the receiving host it bufferizes it all
