However...

I used BAT in order to transfer 450 users in the global directory from one server to another (New server from 3.3 to 4.1). All worked fine except the fact that the device association has not updated correctly even though it is definatley specified in the user.txt file I imported. I then go to do another BAT update with the device association and comes up with the error user already associated with this device, but when I go into the user in global directory it is not updated or associated with anything.

Any suggestions?

What version of BAT are you using to do this...? I got the same error when using 5.1.3, which comes with CCM 4.1.2. BAT version 5.1.4, that comes with CCM version 4.1.3, does not give me that error.

Yes that is the version of BAT I am using. Will 5.1.4 work with my CCM 4.1.2?

I'm pretty sure you'll have to upgrade to CCM 4.1.3 to get BAT 5.1.4, I don't think you can download and install it. Could be wrong there, TAC might be able to send it to you.

I went through hell - literally - with my CCM 4.1.2 boxes with all sorts of wacky problems (and it's general lack of compatibility with Unity 4.0.4, locked ports all over the place, MWI's not turning off). 4.1.3 runs much, much better; I recommend the upgrade, but ultimately it's up to you.
