Here's something that brightened my day and I want to share it with you. Some of you, of course, will take delight only in my simple delight (already knowing what I'm about to tell you). Others may learn what I just discovered. I develop the Access reports and utilities for the end users in our company. Relatively knew with Access and am learning on the fly, Tek-Tips Forum being a primary resource.
I frequently will "Compact and Repair Databases..." when I've been working on something, just to tidy things up. Since there is a Form configured to open on Startup, that's what happens after the utility runs. I tried holding down the shift key while selecting "Compact and Repair..." and discovered the startup is not executed, same as when opening the file.
