have to restart to restore email messages

Hi all,

Anyone know why I have to restart seemingly every time I want to restore even just one email message? All other restores run ok except for email messages. It's BE 8.6 on a Win2k pro machine, the job log says
"An error occured while scanning the catalogs. The job will not continue.
Check for the following:
-Low virtual memory conditions
-a corrupt or truncated catalog
-media you are restoring is not overwritten"

It works fine after I restart. I have let it rebuild my catalog in the past but this always come back, vm settings are ok, I can restore large cadd files no problem.
