have power but no screen

hi you all.hope i,m in rite place.when i boot my puter i hear the fan run but i dont here the beep or see any thing on moniter.moniter ok.can it be the board or hard drive
thanks for any help.stan in florida

It could of course be those components. I would expect problems with Video card first. Let me ask you have you recently installed any new cards? Any new software? Any major changes in any programs or OS?

This mainly cause by the hardware failure. Please provide more detail about what you have done to your system recently. Try to unplug and replug the hardware, this can be the loosen connection of the hardware.
