Have lost use of my modem

I have recently installed windows 2000 on my HP 8595C pavilion. I has a Rockwell V90, K56 fax, modem, voice, speakerphone chipest.

I have completely lost use of the sound. I have as per HP reccomendation downloded Riptide driver but it does not work.

Please advise as what driver I should down load?
