If your network user ID is an administrator, then you automatically get access to sql server and are a dbo. So, when using CR designer 9, I create a new TRUSTED connection to a database, I do NOT see tables, views, stored procedures, instead I see dbo then a whole list of stored prodedures (no tables or views are listed).

This is the same issue if you enter sa and the password (NON-TRUSTED connection). I have yet to have a resolution for this and it's very frustrating! It must have something to do with the limited amount to display as dbo can see all objects and this database has well over 10,000 in total.

If I go to the options and unmark stored procedures, then nothing is listed.

Sound slike the network used id's are mapped to some user in SQSL Server that has SP privileges only.

What Andrew alludes to is using the File->Options->Dtaabase and setting the wildcards in owner or name.

But I would address the issue at the database level as well.

Ask the dba to run a grant all on the database tables/views for whatever user you're mapped to.
