Have a user who's mail is being forwarded from a .com mail server to a .net mail server. The .net server is set up to host both the .net and .com mail via the default recipient policy as the .com mail domain will be turned over to the company shortly. The .net domain is set a primary.

The issue I have is on the .net mail server. This user's mail is forwarded from here to another address but I have also indicated it should be stored in her mailbox. The forwards are just fine, however any .com mail received by .net is not stored in the mailbox, only the forward happens. Other users with the same setup work fine.

I don't know if this is part of the problem or not. The issue seemed to be prompted by a situation whereby the contact email address for the forward the .net side was incorrect. The address was updated and
the exchange delivery forwards set up again. After that the problem seemed to appear. Also checked the security
settings, they appear to be OK also.

Any thoughts on the matter would be much appreciated. I can't think of anything else to check.

As a last resort, I'm thinking of deleting the mailbox and recreating it to get a clean start. After backing up to .pst, if I delete the mailbox and then immediately try to recreate it with the same name, will I be allowed to do so? I'm thinking that since Exchange only tags the old mailbox as deleted will it let me create a new one or try to reconnect the old one? How can I ensure I get a clean start? Any other gotchas?

Sorry for the long post. Thanks for your help.
