Have a T7316e phone and cannot get the DN number to change or get updated. Phone still shows old DN and responds like old DN. Cannot get new DN to update on phone.

okay. I have two extensions: ext 24 and ext 25. The phone at ext 25 is broken so I moved the phone from extension 24 to extension 25. Went into System Programming, selected Change DN's. Change DN from 24 to 25 but phone at extension 25 still states out of service and remains ext 24. When you try to ring or transfer to ext 25, ext 24 rings on the phone instead of 25. Let me know if you need additional information.

That does not seem to make sense.
Do you mean when you call X25 that 24 rings?
Is there an Answer DN key on X24 to answer 25's calls? the key would go above the Intercom, use Feature * 0 to find out or go into programming.

I do not recall changing DN nor working but maybe the system could use a reboot.

What you should have doe was leave phones as were, turn off Set Relocation under System/FeaturesSettings (or maybe Config/Misc older softwares).
This way the DN remains at the jack.
Turn it on when you actually need to relocate a DN to another office.

Yes. when you try to call or transfer to Answer DN Key 25, the phone states "out of service". I have tried Feature *0 and no extension number will be displayed.

I was afraid you would say reboot. This system is so old I am truly afraid of a reboot.

But I would like to try turning off Set Relocation. I will put the phones back in place and then try Set Relocation.

Will keep you posted.

Yes back to as was then the Set Relo way.

Feature * 0 = Button inquiry

When you press a button it will tell you what it does, in this case of the Intercom key it will tell you the DN # instead of "Intercom", pressing View after that will tell you what port it is on.

If you are not requiring Answer DN key then remove it to keep clean programming.

Go into Maintenance and note the version number, in the FAQ's section under SP codes you will find your version of software.
