Have a 7025 F50 and the system hangs (4B226110) 1

Have a 7025 F50 and the system hangs on bootfile.exe.

With a standalone diagnostics cd installed the system booting off of the cdrom with the correct scsi id will not run.

Yesterday was able to restore from mksysb to the hard drive after booting off of the install cd but now the system sticks and the error code 4B226110.

Have disconnected power and popped the cmos battery out and the firmware and flash is at the latest version.

Have popped the hard drive and the tape drive out leaving the cd rom as the only scsi device in the chain but so far no "love".

Also while 1 seems to bring up the service menu 5 does not appear to do anything.

Using ibm3151 screen.

4B226110 is a machine check.

From the service guide:

4B2xxx10 Machine Check 1. Attempt to reboot the system in
Service Mode, this preserves the
AIX error log. If the reboot fails,
attempt to reboot from the
CD-ROM. If the reboot is
successful, run Diagnostics in
Problem Determination mode to
determine the cause of the failure.
Otherwise continue.

Thanks - I had not been able to find that doc. Removed all non-essential cards & flashed the bios rerouted the scsi cable and finally was able to get the system to boot off of the install media and got into maintenance mode removed token ring card...at anyrate the system is booted off of the hard disk and all of the mounts are there. Have to add the token ring card and tape drive and extra memory back in.
