have 8x25 dr5 with a NAmM

I have a 8x25 dr5 and i hooked up a NAM ver 3.0 and it works and recongizes it. But when i disconnect teh NAM Ver 3.0 and got a Nam VER 4.1 IT doenst recongize it. I cant get into it like i can on the previous version? any ideas?

Your lucky the 3.0 works the Compatibility Matrix only shows Rel 1 be compatible with the 8X24 DR%

Do you have access to DR 5.1sw?

Let me ask if you're sure you have a copper R4.1 NAM, or maybe you have a fiber NAM and you're connecting to the modem ports? I'm pretty sure NAMs will work with DR5.

The System is 8x24 the version under Maint is sp:30MUM05 DR5 RTP: 30GBG03 The Software Cart says DR5.1

The Applications Module is : NVM 3.0.10a

yeah i used the same ports on the phone system.
and no i was not using the modem ports on the nam

If the R4.1 has a video card try connecting a monitor and keyboard to watch the boot progress. It might give you a clue as to why it's not working. Could be a setting in the BIOS.

NO it has no video port, just 2 serial, a parallel port a keyboard and mouse port.

Any solution to this one? Sounds very similar to my 8x24 DR5 not initializing copper NAM 4.1.05...driving me crazy. NAM works great on 616 DR5.
