Hi All!

I started work on monday and so am new to the backup exec schedule we are running at our company. though I have used the program before. Nobody else seems to understand why the problem is happening but I am very concerned.

Basically i need to restore a file. Now when I look at my backups I have had Successful Full backups for a few weeks (no unsuccessful at all). I need to restore ONE file from yesterday (the 28th). All I can find at the restore options is the 22nd as the last available backup. Does anyone know why this is?

this is what i did:
clicked Restore.
located the drive where the file is.
here i have a list of backups and when they were done and it is here that the most recent on the list is the 22nd.

Do i need to somehow refresh the list or is there a way the successful backup on the 28th has been hidden?

Your help would be much much appreciated if you are still with me! ;-)

Go to MEDIA then Media Set 1 (or whatever is applicable). Pick the right tape name for the right day you want to restore from. Drill down and tick the file to restore from. Then click RESTORE. Its usually caused by not looking at the most recent media.
