According to a mag, it is supposed to have compiled javascript but because I don't use a lot of sites with Javascript, I find it quite slow.

Yes, I've tried it, and the JS engine really is lightning-fast.

I don't find it slow for other things at all, but I wouldn't use it as my main browser because there are so many things that are 'non standard', such as having no menu bar, etc, that just drive me crazy.

I'll stick with Firefox for the foreseeable future, I think.

I've gone back to k-meleon. It is a lot faster than Firefox, IE8 or chrome on older (<500MHz machines) on sites like tek-tips.

I find it faster for administration consoles, for example.

As main browser, I'm a bit concerted about its security

Cheers,
Dian

Yeah, I find it faster than Firefox, IE6, IE7, and IE8 on those sites where it works flawlessly. However, it has more troubles with plugins (it seems to me) than Firefox or IE - I'm just talking about the Adobe flash, etc plugins, really.)

I love the browser, personally, except I too wanted the old toolbar and plugins like with Firefox. Firefox takes forever to load in comparison, but it's worth it, as web browsing is about equally as fast plus the TONS of plugins available, toolbar options, etc.
