When my G430 Gateway goes into SLS the analog devices can call the 9608 IP phones. However, the 9608 IP Phone will get dial tone, but they cannot break dial tone. No matter how many digits you dial you just get more dial tone.

Thanks in advance for any ideas any might have on this.

G430 is on 30.16.0, 9608 is on SP3 of the H.323 6.0 release.

Hello? Anyone out there? :)
Has anyone seen 9608 phones perform correctly or even incorrectly?

Just trying to determine how my experience compares to others.

The new Avaya 96xx IP phone family is not directly referenced in the CLI. When you administer these phones via the CLI, use the following

Module name CLI interface name

9610 4606
9620 4610
9630 4620
9640 4620
9650 4620

Here is the final answer:

Service Pack 4 for version 6 of the H323 phones (9608, 9611, 9621 and 9641) allows for these phones to work in SLS mode - aka Standard Local Survivability. I have tested this and it does work. Prior Service Packs DO NOT WORK in SLS.

Thanks....
