Currently, one of our executives is using an L7680 multifunction printer in his office. He has a "memory card error" screen on the printer, with no error message on his PC. In this state, he cannot use the L7680 as a standalone copier. There is currently no memory card inserted in the L7680. Has anyone seen this error before? Any idea what may cause this?

Usually it's the formatter on-board memory that is bad.
If a card has been used before, it may have bent a contact, or if pushed too hard, damaged the socket.

Later yesterday, I found the issue. The end user left a microSD adapter in the SD slot. Without a card in the adapter, no memory could be seen. Unfortunately, this particular adapter looked very much like a side guide, which made it hard to recognize it at first.
