I am trying to install Domino 5.0.12 on RedHat 7.1 or 7.2. Each time I try I get and error when I try to launch the httpsetup. The error is:

/opt/lotus/notes/latest/linux/http: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Has anyone seen this before, I'm probably just missing something obvious, but I have no clue what this error means. I am logging on as notes and running the setup. I thought this might pertain to JAVA so I installed the JRE 1.1.8-3.0 but that did not help. I have tried RedHat 7.1 and 7.2, but I am open to trying other versions as long as they are supported by Lotus.

Please help, I am new to Linux.

Hi,

Am running domino 5.0.12 on a number of Redhat Linux 7.2 servers, and in fact have about 60 servers running 5.0.9a on Redhat 7.2. Am upgrading soon to 5.0.12....

I have seen plenty of times the error you are referring to.

Even though you see this error, are you able to browse to the setup function and continue with the setup?

I belive I get this error as well, however, I am able to continue without a problem.

Before I install Domino on any Linux box, there are two componets I install first and they are:

IBMJava118
Compat-Libstdc++

After that everything installs fine and works.

Let me know if you cannot get to the setup.

Rgds,
Mark.
