I don't know why I'm suddenly unable to use my Epson scanner but when I scroll down Photoshop to import>twain, the error reads "Could not open the twain source. Make sure there is a valid source for your scanner in the TWAIN directory found in the Windows directory. What'd I do?? And how to fix, please?

Thanks in advance.
PS. If it helps, it's a 2000 Pro system.

try checking or re installing the drivers, and make sure the printer is properly plugged in and the power is on to it.
Sometimes, when my code just won't behave, I take it outside and make it listen to britney spears music, and when it comes back it's really well behaved. I wonder if it's suffering from post tramatic stress syndrome now..

I would guess the scanner is not connected properly at first glance. Check the connections and see how that works out. Once I pulled the power out of the scanner and didn't even know it. Same error.

I had the same problem. Uninstall and reinstall did not fix the problem, until I found a little utility that could uninstall the driver properly. After the uninstall was succesfull, I was able to make a clean install and the scanner started working.
