Has anyone ever seen this syslog error?

Occaisionally I will see this on the console:

syslogd: unknown priority name ""

I checked /etc/syslogd.conf and it looks fine. Just basic logging going on, nothing custom.

Any ideas?

Has /etc/syslog.conf been modified at all at any point? This might occur if there are any spaces in the wrong places.

Run 'service syslogd restart' and let us know if you get that message immediately after.
