Hi

I was just wondering if anyone has actually restored their computer using Windows Backup and the Restore Disk?

I'm having so much trouble making a restore disk for Ghost 15 that I thought I would just forget about it if the Windows restore is reliable.

I have a Windows backup made and the Windows restore disk was a snap to create and works fine booting my computer to the menu.

I don't use Vista or Windows 7, Complete PC, or System Backup. I prefer my Terabyte program (Image for Windows) which has served me well for years, through XP, Vista, and Windows 7. I have never had a failure in restoring the Images.

Where Vista and Windows 7 (perhaps) often seem to fail is when the hard drive is swapped out after failure then it seems a matter of potluck as to whether the restore goes in or not.

In days gone by I use to rely on ASR in XP, that too was pretty reliable whilst doing a restore but Vista, and probably Windows 7, seem to have become a bit "iffy".

A "Windows Complete PC Restore" always fails.
