harringbone pattern on dual lcd at boot

I get a dark gray with purple harringbone pattern on both lcd monitors when I boot. The card is a powered by ati Redeon 7500 w128mb. The os is windows xp pro. After fiddeling for a while, I disconnect one monitor, reboot and sometimmes gset one monitor to display good and then fiddle to get tahe other one up.
Any help would be great.

First make sure to doublecheck all your connections, including the AGP card. Check for broke or bent pins as well.
