Hello,

I have 2 lans in differant cities, both with 2003 server for file sharing and both with cable connections.

What i would like is for clients on lan1 to user resources on lan2 by way of a mapped drive.

Can this be done using VPNs? and also i know the ip address ranges must be differant on each lan, is this right? If so, would 192.168.0.x 255.255.255.0 be ok on lan1 with 192.168.1.x 255.255.255.0 on lan2.

How does this sound?

thanks in advance

Paul

Cheers!!!

Can you reccomend any hardware vpn devices?

I was thinking of netgear fvs318 or a zyxel zywal 1. Mainly becayse they are cheap and i have used other products by them.

Thanks

Paul
