Is there a HARDWARE solution to two computers sharing a single dsl internet connection when the connection point is an INTERNAL dsl modem? (hardware, as opposed to Windows ICS or proxies, etc)
Doesn't a router or a hub have to be connected BETWEEN the modem and the computers? How is that done with a modem mounted on a plug in card inside one of the computers?
Sorry, I kind of glossed over that part. If you have an internal modem then you would have to have the computer that houses the modem be your router (need to run a Server OS to use RRAS Routing and Remote Access Service) and install a NIC as well that would plug into a hub, which you would plug your other computer(s) into.
