Hardware of BCM50 is like to SRG50

The SRG50 is a BCM50. The only difference being the keycodes loaded in the system. Once converted to a SRG there is no going back.

About two weeks ago, there was a thread about SRGs going back. It involved some top level MVPs. The final determination was an SRG can go back. Do a reset, and remove SRG keycode and it would be BCM50 again. I was just an innocent bystander.
