hardware interface (dry contact activating anlg line)

I search for an interface (programmable) that connnect to a dry contact (alarm panel), can dial a number to reach a pager. When an alarm is activate, the "gizmo" have to call a pager to advise! Someone have already see something like that ?

Hi,

there are sveral things how you can do such things.

1) Expensive Solution
There is product from Telecom Software AG in Austria. They have a product called WinSAM AMS (Alarm MAnangement System) it can handle dry contacts, snmp, tcp/ip requests, dial up etc.. It can then call a pager, mobile, send E-Mail or SMS.

2) Dialer
There are several alarm companies building small electronic kits with one dry contact and a dialer interface. If the conatct will be closed they can call uüp a mobile and play a message. But of course you can trie to call a pager.
