Isn't there a way of outputing your computers hardware and software configurations to a text file? I had to do that once for support on a device with my system, but I can't recall what I did. If anyone knows could you let me know?

the operating system will allow you to do some of this, but you didnt mention which one you use.

Besides hardware, it will also give a complete list of
software installed.
