We are in the process of purchasing a server for CE9. We were going to purchase a Single 2.4 GHz processor with 1GB of memory. Is there anyone out there currently running CE9 with a single processor and can anyone out there make any hardware recommendations?

Regards,

I'd recommend that you request the CE Sizing Guide from Crystal Decisions. You'll have to sign a non-disclosure agreement in order to receive it. The Sizing Guide is a good starting point for estimating your hardware requirements.

The server you've described may be adequate for a small, standalone installation, but I'd look into the issue more thoroughly. Also, remember to keep in mind the type of licensing you have/need as it may relate to your hardware (processor licenses, for example ).
