Hello,

We are in the process of selecting hardware for our Ciscoworks software. The question I have is, does Ciscoworks take advantage of multi processor machines. We want to purchase a 4-way Dell server and want to understand if Ciscoworks is geared to utilise a four processor. I know this sounds rather trivial considering how cheap h/w has become but we have been given a tight budget and would like to be very specific with our order.

Thanks in advance for any assistance

Regards
Pritesh

Yes, it does. I have mine running on a 6 processor machine and it's uses all of them. :)

I've found that CW2k on an NT machine is very sluggish. Most people I've talked to who are happy with CW2k run it on a Solaris box. Just FYI.
