I am going to be putting in our first LInux server in place as a DNS, Email
and web server for our small business. My boss heard my proposal today and
once me to get this server up asap and get it ordered today. Here is my
issue,

I tried using the Hardware Compatibilty dbase on the MDK site and it kept saying it cannot
much of my hardware. I know this is a tad unorthodox but I did try looking in
the dbase for a \"No it isn\'t, yes it is\" but i am just getting nada back.
If someone (or people) can tell me if this setup will work with MDK10. Here is
the Config:

I'd install Linux on that box.

The only thing I'd worry about is the tower being compatible.... <just kidding>

The best way, of course, to get the most out of Linux is to recompile the kernel to the hardware you have. If you are a newbie, however, I would *NOT* suggest doing this your first time on your production machine.

When I started with SCO Xenix back in 1984-ish, I crashed my system a dozen times "learning" how to do a kernel compile.

Just my $.02
