Hi all,
I am a little new to the Novell game, moved divisions in my compnay and rather than AD im now supporting Novell clients.

Problem is that we have been receiving a lot of calls lately regarding the usual 'The Tree or server cannot be found.' error message. The cause of the issue is the incorret context. I have been asked to find out if it is possible to hardcode the context into the Windows NT 4.0 registry?

We have the contextless login app, but this does not seem to be working?

thanks for any suggestions in advance!

hardcoding isnt a good idea - you end up stuck in a bindery one

contextless is better and easier - just tweak around a bit
what are you using for contextless

if you must set a context then get the dhcp to issue it - cant remember what number option it is but it will jump out

the other option is to nal a default location and put it in there - a snapshot will find this out

you should setup SLP scope and point all the clients to the slp server IP address had the same issue with our network SLP scope solved all issues
