I have two hard drives right now and i want to add a third but i don't have any more power plugs and i was wondering what this connector was it comes from my power supply and it has six pin holes and it docent look like all the rest and i was wondering if i can use it to add a third harddrive

Just buy an adapter (plugs into single power plug and provides 2) - not expensive.

Yes, it is an inexpensive part, however, be sure your current PSU is able to handle the power load...too many times the PSU is pushed beyond it's limit. Just check your specs before going into that neck of the woods.
