Ok last night i had my computer out in the cold, i know i should've given at least a couple of hours to let it warm up before starting it but i did not. It started up fine but when it was restarted wouldn't get past the windows is starting screen. Everything picks up fine during boot and will load windows so obviously the hard drive is still partially working but i need to know suggestions for trying to getit past this point. I use this drive for school work and other important e-mails and documents and cannot just format and try again. If necessary i will try and back it up with dos onto my other hard drive but i don't know if that shall eb successful. Any ideas or suggestions about how to gt it past this screen would be very helpful. Oh yeah and i tried safe mode but it still sticks at the smae screen. Thanks.

Pull off every connector to your hard drive, floppy, and CD Roms from both ends. Reseat.

Remove every PCI adapter, and re-insert.

Restart the machine.
