hard drive wont work to its full capacity 1

i have a pentium 60 mgz motherboard i am triing to upgrade it from a 538.0 meg hard drive to a 15gig hard drive when i install it first it wont work ii windows and when i check it in dos it still only reads 528.0 meg why is this any one know the answer. THANKS A BUNCH
 
go to your motherboard manufactures website and download an upgrade for your bios

also, go to your hard drive manufactures website and download there software utility which allows you to have the maximum available size of your hard drive.
 
It's also possible that you need to go into your bios and set your Primary Drive to "Auto", this way it will seek the new drive. Sounds like it is set for your old drive and not updating when you boot your system.
