Hello All,
I have a Asus P3V4X motherboard and I am currently using a Fujitsu 10gb 5400rpm hard drive. I would like to upgrade my hard drive to a Maxtor 7200rpm either 80gb or 120gb. Is this possible? If not what are my options? Thanks for your advice in advance.

Technical specs on that board are at Download the manual, and take a look.
It should support at least 32gig, more if there's a BIOS update at Cheers,
Jim

Hello All,
Thank you all for your generous support regarding my hard drive upgrade to my current motherboard. I will be download the latest bios to upgrade my current motherboard bios and get the new hard drive.
Again, Thank you all for your support. Have a great day!

find out that the Asus P3V4X motherboard supports the 120GB or 80GB if it is not suppors then upgrade the bios var of u motherbord from ASUS site
2 option is that find out HDD jumper seting if that HDD
is having the jumper seting in it's manual do accordingly
samsong HDD is having that facility
i hope this will solve u problem if not go for 2 HDD or 3HDD
becoz u main bord support max 4 ide one cdrom 3HDD each
40GB*3= 120 GB os u dont have to go for new mainboard
u can save the $
